I thought we were just friends. He was always
helping me with my calc homework, and I used to
make him hide in the closet whenever Randy McJock
would climb in my window. I thought he was just
being nice, and I know Randy would have beaten him
up if he had known. Now I feel bad for Gonk, he
must have heard the monkey-sex through the closet
slats!! I'm sorry, Gonk!
(I'm sure this would have been funnier if I knew
what a Gonk was.)

I am working right now on a similar engine in 3/4 perspective, but movement is grid-based rather than coordinate. Also, combat is going to be turn based (though the rest of the game won't).
How far are you on your pathing AI? With the enemy in the same room I couldn't test it. I would be interested in comparing notes at some point.
